Flotilla Change of

- Our COW will be held at the Delta Breeze Club on Travis AFB, January
9th. Members are free and guests are $20. We must have an accurate
count. Please remember if you do not have a DOD sticker, you will be
required to have a valid form of ID, vehicle registration, and proof of
insurance to drive onto Travis AFB.
USCG Station Vallejo
– The
dedication held on December 7th was a great success. Our
flotilla was well represented and our Division Captain was aboard. Any
member desiring to be a watch stander at the station, see Petty Officer
Fjestad for requirements and to schedule training. This is a super
opportunity to serve the Team Coast Guard in a very local and personal
way and will not require you to get ‘wet’. Call (707) 643-2975.

ALCOAST 537/02 Interim Ch-1 To The Boat Crew Training Manual And U.S.
Coast Guard
Station Operations Manual
The boat crew training manual establishes minimum performance standards
for qualification, certification and currency maintenance for all
personnel (regular, reserve and auxiliary) serving as crew members on
all shore-based and cutter-based coast guard boats. It explicitly tasks
unit commanders with responsibility for the training of boat crews, and
provides them with guidelines for the establishment of a successful
training program. The program is based on the fact that sailors are made
at sea and to be successful, significant amounts of underway boat
operations are required.
