Vessel Safety Exams
This consists of making sure your vessel is in compliance with the Federal and State regulations, and with the Auxiliary Requirements.  When the boats burning, its too late for an examination!

If your vessel passes these requirement a "Decal" is issued and affixed to the windshield of your vessel.

This tells any Coast Guard patrol boat that the vessel has been inspected and is in compliance. They will usually waive you on with a "Have a Nice Day".
